Tim Page, Founding Director, Total Involvement Ministry

Tim Page was born into a Catholic family in Detroit, Michigan with 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Even as a child, Tim enjoyed theatre and music. After graduating St. Clair High School as Valedictorian in 1977, he attended St. Clair County Community College majoring in the Arts. However, the draw of Hollywood, took him to California in 1984.

During his first years in California, he had various jobs while trying to ‘break into the entertainment industry’. He had a role in the movie The Best of Times with Robin Williams and Kurt Russell, but they had ‘lines to speak’ and Tim was a non-union extra with no lines! He also had a spot on Highway to Heaven with Michael Landon. As work began to become scarce Tim wondered why God allowed him to successfully transplant himself over 3000 miles away from family and friends, and he sought answers in various church events.

He attended a workshop by Sr. Helen Prejean (from the book/movie, Dead Man Walking) but had no interest in those in jail and maintained the view of “Lock them up and throw away the key. They did the crime, they should do the time. Our world would be better off without them.”

Eventually, he experienced a major conversion and after this workshop and heard God calling him to minister to these individuals. Had God said, “Go to California and work with those on the streets, in jail, etc.”, Tim would have said, “no way”, and yet since 1989, he has been doing just that in this ministry.

God's gifts are unconditional, and Tim is a sure gift as many would put it "a blessing". Tim is well recognized by the school going kids who cross Nordhoff and Langdon, a well-known gang infected area in which "Our Lady Of Peace Catholic Church" is located. He stands there every morning greeting kids and adults spreading Gods joyfulness and love.

Tim Page doesn't waste time spreading out our Catholic Faith. He passes out rosaries and religious pamphlets wherever invited. Tim encourages kids to believe in the 'good' in themselves and others, and inspires many others to pursue Gods love and to share God's gifts with the world.
